ARLINGTON, Texas — Law enforcement and stadium security are reviewing video footage and witness statements following a significant physical altercation between students at AT&T Stadium. The incident occurred in the stadium concourse during a high school football playoff matchup hosted at the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

The disturbance began as a verbal dispute between students from rival schools before escalating into a multi-person brawl. Cell phone footage captured by bystanders shows dozens of individuals involved in the fray, with several participants exchanging closed-fist strikes and grappling on the concrete floor of the concourse. The video highlights a chaotic scene as stadium staff and nearby adults attempted to intervene and separate the combatants while hundreds of other spectators looked on.
Arlington Police Department officials confirmed that officers assigned to the stadium responded to the disturbance and successfully dispersed the crowd. While the exact number of participants has not been finalized, authorities noted that several individuals were detained on-site for questioning. No major injuries requiring immediate hospitalization were reported at the scene, though several students were treated by stadium medical staff for minor lacerations and bruising.
The venue, which regularly hosts high-stakes Texas High School Coastal and State Championship games, is known for its stringent security protocols. However, the sheer volume of spectators for the rivalry game appears to have challenged concourse management during the transition between quarters.
“The safety of all guests is our primary concern,” a spokesperson for AT&T Stadium said in a preliminary statement. “We are working closely with local law enforcement to identify those involved and will take appropriate action, which may include permanent bans from the facility.”
The school districts involved have not yet released official disciplinary statements, pending the outcome of the police investigation. Under Texas Education Code and standard UIL (University Interscholastic League) regulations, students involved in violent conduct at sanctioned athletic events face potential suspension from school and prohibition from attending future extracurricular activities.
Arlington police are asking anyone with additional video evidence of the lead-up to the fight to come forward. Investigators are specifically looking to determine if the incident was premeditated via social media or if it was a spontaneous escalation of game-day tensions. The NFL and the Dallas Cowboys organization have been briefed on the security breach as they prepare for upcoming professional home games.
